    Austin Industrial, Inc. is a leading General Contractor who provides construction, maintenance and plant services to a variety of industrial clients.  We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Planner in Savannah, Georgia.

    Responsibilities

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    Functional Area of Responsibility:

      • Responsible for the Planning, Scheduling, and/or Cost activities associated with the work.
      • Responsible for schedule development, updating, and monitoring activities.
      • Responsible for working with field supervision to determine resource loading and leveling, work activity durations, and establishing the proper work flow logic ties.
      • Responsible for routine schedule analysis and work around option planning along with interface coordination with field supervision and engineering/client schedulers.
      • Responsible for issuing “3 Week Look Ahead” schedule for field supervision.
      • Create weekly work schedules for crafts.
      • Participate with asset areas to develop regular shutdown schedules.
      • Provide statistics and progress reports to customer for work completion.
      • Coordinate work between crafts.
      • Confirm time for completed work orders.
      • Enter notifications for follow-up work required from maintenance inspection.
      • Serve as point of contact for asset teams to resource unplanned maintenance activities.
    • Conduct weekly review of work order backlog.
    • Review work order costs and note potential overruns.

    Safety:

    • Comply with all Austin and Client safety policies and procedures.
    • Utilize and participate in Austin/Client Accident Prevention Program.
    • Shutdown work when any safety concerns arise.
    • Participate in daily Austin safety meetings.

    Quality:

    • Ensures that proper materials are procured, meeting Client specifications.
    • Ensure appropriate QC checks (site specific) are planned and scheduled in accordance with the work.
    • Take immediate action to resolve any quality related issues.
    • Demonstrate understanding of the site package turnover and QC requirements.

    Reporting/Coordination:

    • Track daily progress.
    • Provide schedule input for daily progress report.
    • Provide schedule input for project forecast.
    • Provide electronic schedule status reporting to client daily.  
    • Provide information to the client which is required for the client to track cost info.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of Planning/Scheduling experience in the industrial plant maintenance industry
    • Experience with SAP software based maintenance management and materials procurement systems
    • Proficient with scheduling (preferably Microsoft Project) and integrated project management computer software applications
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
